Candice Everett leads our nature studies program after serving as a lead 2s teacher here for 10 years. Candice is passionate about exploring all things nature- from plants and flowers to animal prints, herbs and spices and even just mud! She brings nature in for sensory exploration and teaches such topics as life cycles in a hands-on way, both inside and outside the classroom.
I am excited to introduce you to the many wonderful things about Columbus Pre-School that made me want to join as director 12 years ago.
Our sun-drenched classrooms, gymnastics studio, and large outdoor space provide diverse experiences that support every aspect of child development. Our nurturing, dedicated early childhood educators deeply respect children, and it shows, from the care put into the aesthetics and functionality of our classrooms, to the provocations set up to spark creativity, from the way students’ ideas fuel our emergent curricula, to the thoughtful documentation and displays of student work.
As the parent of a graduate, I know first-hand how the foundation laid here at Columbus helped make my daughter, Marlow, into a kind and inclusive friend and a creative and confident student.
