Lead Teacher
Alexa will be joining the Columbus Preschool community in the Fall of 2026. She received her BA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arizona, along with her Arizona state teaching certification. She moved to New York to obtain her MA in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she completed research on the benefits of developing positive interpersonal relationships between students and teachers. Alexa also obtained her New York state teaching certification, and continues to research the Reggio Emilia approach to learning to strengthen and guide her teaching practice. In her free time, Alexa loves spending time in nature, attending the symphony, visiting museums, and learning embroidery.
