Lead Teacher
Thais is so excited to be joining the Columbus Preschool community! She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Spanish from Brooklyn College and is completing courses for a master’s in Early Childhood Education. With nine years of classroom experience, she has a strong understanding of the Reggio philosophy and enjoys implementing engaging emergent curricula. Thais looks forward to following her students’ interests, curiosities and ideas while creating a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. When she’s not in the classroom, Thais loves spending time with her two dogs, Teddy and Frankie, making memories with family and friends, and exploring new places. She can’t wait to get to know all the wonderful children and families at Columbus Preschool and is looking forward to an amazing year together!
