Laura is a natural educator with an exceptional ability to form deep connections with her students. Laura not only brings Spanish into the classroom, but also teachers Spanish in the extended day enrichment program. Thoughtful and observant, Laura can adapt curriculum to meet each child’s needs. With a BA from Mercy University, Laura is now ready to pursue her master’s degree in early childhood education.
I am excited to introduce you to the many wonderful things about Columbus Pre-School that made me want to join as director 15 years ago.
Our sun-drenched classrooms, gymnastics studio, and large outdoor space provide diverse experiences that support every aspect of child development. Our nurturing, dedicated early childhood educators deeply respect children, and it shows, from the care put into the aesthetics and functionality of our classrooms, to the provocations set up to spark creativity, from the way students’ ideas fuel our emergent curricula, to the thoughtful documentation and displays of student work.
As the parent of a graduate, I know first-hand how the foundation laid here at Columbus helped make my daughter, Marlow, into a kind and inclusive friend and a creative and confident student.
