Maggie joins the team at Columbus Pre-School with extensive experience, having worked with children for the past 17 years in many different capacities. Maggie had been a preschool teacher many years before transitioning to her work as an educator in the Early Education Department at The Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Maggie is excited to be back full-time in the classroom with our 2s and 3s!
I am excited to introduce you to the many wonderful things about Columbus Pre-School that made me want to join as director 12 years ago.
Our sun-drenched classrooms, gymnastics studio, and large outdoor space provide diverse experiences that support every aspect of child development. Our nurturing, dedicated early childhood educators deeply respect children, and it shows, from the care put into the aesthetics and functionality of our classrooms, to the provocations set up to spark creativity, from the way students’ ideas fuel our emergent curricula, to the thoughtful documentation and displays of student work.
As the parent of a graduate, I know first-hand how the foundation laid here at Columbus helped make my daughter, Marlow, into a kind and inclusive friend and a creative and confident student.
