Emily brings creative ideas into the classroom, heling to build rich emergent curriculum. Emily is also passionate about language, growing up in a Spanish speaking home. With this love of language, Emily finds meaningful ways for students to explore and engage with the Spanish language though songs, stories and by using Spanish throughout each day.
I am excited to introduce you to the many wonderful things about Columbus Pre-School that made me want to join as director 15 years ago.
Our sun-drenched classrooms, gymnastics studio, and large outdoor space provide diverse experiences that support every aspect of child development. Our nurturing, dedicated early childhood educators deeply respect children, and it shows, from the care put into the aesthetics and functionality of our classrooms, to the provocations set up to spark creativity, from the way students’ ideas fuel our emergent curricula, to the thoughtful documentation and displays of student work.
As the parent of a graduate, I know first-hand how the foundation laid here at Columbus helped make my daughter, Marlow, into a kind and inclusive friend and a creative and confident student.
