Laura joins us after years of teaching and serving others! Laura began her career in healthcare and health services and found herself always gravitating to her youngest patients. From there, she moved into early childhood education, and joins Columbus with a wealth of teaching experience. Laura works with our 2s/3s during the day, and leads our afterschool/extended day program.
I am excited to introduce you to the many wonderful things about Columbus Pre-School that made me want to join as director 12 years ago.
Our sun-drenched classrooms, gymnastics studio, and large outdoor space provide diverse experiences that support every aspect of child development. Our nurturing, dedicated early childhood educators deeply respect children, and it shows, from the care put into the aesthetics and functionality of our classrooms, to the provocations set up to spark creativity, from the way students’ ideas fuel our emergent curricula, to the thoughtful documentation and displays of student work.
As the parent of a graduate, I know first-hand how the foundation laid here at Columbus helped make my daughter, Marlow, into a kind and inclusive friend and a creative and confident student.
