Assistant Teacher
Melanie joined Columbus Pre-School in 2024 after completing her master’s degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. Melanie takes pride in getting to know each of her students well so she can meet their individual developmental needs. Melanie’s joyful spirit and excitable energy help create a classroom atmosphere that feels light and comfortable. Mel is passionate about yoga and brings it into the classroom to help children move their bodies in new and interesting ways while learning how to regulate their body and emotions. Outside of the classroom Melanie enjoys eating her favorite candy, Hershy Kisses and loves all things Disney!!
