Teacher
Penny joined Columbus Pre-School in 2024, bringing with her over 20 years of experience as an early childhood educator. She has worked in independent, Montessori, and progressive education settings, as well as in DOE school programs. Penny is trained in child development assessment and early care education through CUNY, and she has applied her expertise over the years working with neurologically diverse children. Through exploration and hands-on learning, she helps instill a lifelong love of learning while supporting children in developing independence and strong problem-solving skills. Penny’s passion for learning—and her joy in watching new understanding spark in her students—are both infectious and inspiring. Outside of school, she stays busy with her four children and enjoys spending weekends in Connecticut.
